I know I say it often, but it needs said again... THANK YOU.
So many of you show me amazing support. And no matter how hard I try, I don't think I ever accurately convey how appreciative I am. Even now, as I sit here, the words escape me.... but I'll try.
Thank you for your continued business. Thank you for your loyalty. Thank you for your friendship. Most of all, thank you for choosing me.
Please know that your love and loyalty are not misplace with me. Know that all I ever want for any of you is your ultimate happiness. Lastly, know that I am honored to be a part of your journey.
Watching all of you grow and prosper is amazing. I never tire of watching you surmount all of the challenges and obstacles in your lives. Every time I see your texts of excitement and victory, I cry a joyful tear.
You're more than just clients. You are my friends and family. And for that, I am grateful.
Recently, I did a reading that didn't go very well...
The client asked me a deeply important and VERY personal question. I shuffled the cards, cut the deck, knocked three times, and dealt the cards. The outcome was not so good. And for whatever reason, the client blamed me. Totally not my fault, right?
The cards will say what they will! I am your Tarot Card Reader... I MUST read what the cards say! You are paying me to give you the truth and as your Reader, it is my job to give you that truth!!! Why would you want to pay someone who lies to you and masks over the truth?!
I cannot stress the following enough... Make sure you want the answer BEFORE you ask the question. Or, at the very least, don't blame me for what the cards say.
What upsets me the most is that the client didn't even wait for me to deal out the resolution to the problem. They simply shut-down and disconnected for the reading. It was a great disappointment. Remember, I will never leave you dangling in vague drama. We will find a solution!!! Shutting down is the first step in failure and I won't abide by it.
Am I upset that the reading went poorly? No. One day, when that client is ready, they'll see I was only trying to help them. And for that, I can only be grateful.
"My only concern, in this life and all those in the remote past, is to bring you to your ultimate happiness."
During a reading last week, a client said to me, "Ken, you need to raise your prices! I have no problem with paying you more! You deserve more." And I think we should address that!
Everyone wants to make more money, we all do. Me denying that would be a lie. Surely, I could even say, we would all like to have more money at the end of the month! However, what I do shouldn't be exclusively for people with expendable incomes. Rather, in my eyes, EVERYONE should be able to have a Tarot Reading with me.
Does this mean that I am lowering my prices? No way! But I would not be surprised if some money saving offers come in the near future. ;) For now, I like my prices exactly as they are!
So, how do I solve the issue of some clients feeling I deserve more? ANSWER: On your invoices, there is a place where I can open up a TIP line. Where you can determine how much more you feel the service was worth.
HOWEVER- you should NEVER feel any pressure to even acknowledge that line! A TIP is NOT expected of you! Again, feel no pressure about this. But I will say... when I do decide to raise my prices, the average amount from the TIP line will become the "norm."
If you are currently with me on a "Special Price," worry not!!! That is YOUR price and it will remain as such, until you say otherwise.
If I could live off of nothing and be happy, I totally would. But, that isn't the world in which I live. Mine is a world of nice shoes, shopping trips, nice dinners and clients who know I'm not cheating them. But instead, offering them the best price I can while giving the best readings I can.
Recently, a friend I've known for ages wrote me a message and said, "Ken, lover, some people may not be sure what you mean by a TAROT DATE... Even I had to look it up! Your site is beautiful, but you should define the purpose of Tarot and how it will benefit your clients!" She was so freaking right, of course!!! At this point, it must be said, she is a very smart business woman and I truly value her opinion! So, let's BLOG about the Tarot and answer some questions. Or maybe... clear up any confusion.
The Tarot is a deck of cards; traditionally, comprised of 78. The cards are divided into 2 "categories," the MAJOR and MINOR Arcana. There are 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards. The Major represent the MAJOR themes in your life or situation. The remaining cards represent the aspects of the, "day-to-day" stuff or illustrate a degree of influences within your quandary. Each of these 78 cards depicts an aspect of one's life. These aspects may include, but are not limited to wealth, love, work, family, Spiritual health and even betrayal.
As you focus on a particular area in your life, with which you need clarity or guidance, I shuffle these cards. Then, I divide these cards and place them out in a pattern. This pattern is called a, "spread." Each position and card has significance in a spread. It is my job to interpret all of this for you.
Well, what will it do for me?! Good question. Some people believe that the Tarot can foretell the future. Some occultists believe that they hold MAGIC powers and use them in various practices. I use them as a means to provide you with a clearer perspective of your life or situation. I use them to bring you focus, clarity, and closer to your ultimate happiness.
That said, the cards do some times foretell of upcoming obstacles and challenges. While I do not use the deck solely for this purpose, I cannot deny the results. The cards will say what they will, good or bad. My job is to read them without "sugar coating" and NOT leave you dangling in vague drama. If you are stagnant in your life or have turmoil you need help with, I can help you by using the Tarot. If you are thinking of making big changes in your life or want a different way of living for yourself, a Tarot Date could help!
I call them dates because I believe that each client and I form a bond... not unlike a relationship. After all, you have to trust me and that takes time AND actual proof. So, with this in mind, we have regular dates. You get to know me and I get to know you. Through the course of this, we go along your journey and share quite a lot. We don't just share pleasantries, we share in each other's life. And to me, that's a wonderful thing.
I hope that this has cleared up any confusion or helped you better understand how I use the Tarot. If you are interested in how the Tarot has helped by current clients, I encourage you to check out the TESTIMONIALS page. After that, stop by the BOOKING/CONTACT page and schedule an appointment with me. I canNOT wait to read the Tarot for you.
