As a Tarot Card Reader, I think that continuing your Tarot education is very important. You are never done learning. You must always strive to better understand your craft. I feel so strongly about this that we need to BLOG about it.
Recently, I found an amazing website that has really been beneficial to me! The site takes the imagery of each card and breaks down the "hidden" symbolism. For example, a hammer isn't just a hammer. A bench isn't just a bench. Each of these has a deeper meaning and the site teaches those meanings.
Let's take the hammer for example. For starters, it can also be seen in some decks as a wrench! Either way, it is a tool for action. When it pops up in your client's reading, you must remind them that a woman is only as good as her action. You gotta tell them to put their talents to use and to make something out of their situation. In other words, "get to it!"
Before the site, I had never realized how many benches are in the imagery of the Tarot! And before the site, I had no idea that they had a "special" meaning. I was so wrong. Apparently, when a bench is featured, your client must take a moment of pause. They need to focus or meditate on what is before them. Much like a bench in the park, Tarot benches are a place to collect yourself and to get yourself together. Look at the situation with which you are faced. Really take the time to see it clearly. Here, have a seat while you do. How cool is that?
Lastly, I want to share my favorite image!!! In nearly every deck I have, there are tiny castles in the background of the cards. Originally, I thought they were nothing more than a gorgeous part of the art. Again, I was wrong. Castles remind us that the actions we are about to take will affect everyone involved. When a castle is featured, many people will be affected by what is about to happen. "You are indirectly affecting the entire kingdom." So, act wisely!
The wealth of knowledge contained within each card of the Tarot astounds me. Just when you think you have learned all there is, a castle comes out of nowhere! When you see the small details within the cards, you begin to truly read them. And I think that's remarkable. So, never stop pushing yourself to better understand your craft. Never be satisfied with superficial knowledge, delve deeper and always go further.
I'm not sure if you've heard, but Tuesday night is the last episode of KenBoggle Season 3. How am I doing? Not well. Why? Because I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to the best Season of KenBoggle, ever! What made Season 3 so special? Well, let's BLOG about it.
Season 3 was special for many, many reasons. To begin, we launched and founded Tarot By Ken, LLC. Further, we had Tarot By Ken AND KenBoggle trademarked. I mean, these are monumental steps. Professionally, opening your own business is a dream come true, a wish fulfilled, and an out-right miracle. And it happened THIS Season.
What else made Season 3 so special? The special guests! This Season, we had Jaclyn Ruble-May, Jennifer Kelly, Jennifer Stephens, Kelly Grote, Michelle Belanger AND Dustin Pari!!! Each one of our guests were amazing and so were their interviews! I couldn't have asked for a better Guest List.
What really made Season 3 so special? You. Each one of you made Season 3 INCREDIBLY successful. You all didn't just log-on and listen-in. You badass hookers logged-on, listened-in, and participated like it was your ACTUAL occupation. And I could NOT be more thankful. Listener participation like this isn't the "NORM" in the podcast world; unless you have thousands of listeners. So, what we've done for the last 16 Tuesdays has been truly special.
What happens now? Well, the BLOG will still be published every Monday at 7:30amET. MY social media and my site will still be up and available to you! Obviously, the Tarot Dates are a year round deal! You can ALWAYS book a Tarot Date with me! And tune in to ScarefestRadio.com, where I will occasionally guest host!!! So you see, you're not done with me.... Yet. But for now, it is goodbye to Tuesday nights.
On the regular, I read the Tarot for many of you and give guidance. Whether the guidance is about better health, ending risky behaviors, or believing in yourself, it is guidance given to you to make your life better. And I urge you, every 6 weeks in readings, to make these changes. Yet, in my own life, I fail to take my own advice. And that is something that we need to BLOG about.
The Tarot is an amazing tool. It can see all aspects of your life and clearly indicate opportunities for change. If you utilize it's information, it can transform your life. Or, like many people do, you can ignore it and get more of everything that you don't want.
A logical person would think that the Tarot Reader would be the very first to take the advice given. WRONG. I struggle just like everyone else. Many Tarot Readers and Psychics I have met also live in the same struggle. But that doesn't change the fact that I push each of you to make these changes. I push you as hard as I can. So, what does that say about me? I don't often take my own advice. And what does that mean? I am a Hypocrite.
Why do I push you harder than I push my self? I have no real answers, but I have given it a lot of real thought. The best I can come up with is that I value each of you, immensely. I see your potential and I want it to manifest for you more than I care about my own. Like an over-protective parent, I love you so much that I want the best for you... as fast as possible. Is that so bad? No, not really... if it is kept in balance with love for my self.
Why don't I take my own advice? I have no answers that don't or can't be categorized as, "excuses." So, the best I can do is be real and honest. I have no will power. None. I have no real understanding of delayed gratification. But mostly, I am over-stimulated with constant technology and distractions. Every time I hear the voice of wisdom telling me to make a better choice for myself, I grab my phone or another distraction. Clearly, I'd rather be distracted than do the uncomfortable work of changing.
Does it stop at that? Or have I become comfortable living in my lower behaviors and life-states? Possibly, but that is no justification to continue,
From today on, I am going to start taking my own advice. I am going to further walk the talk. More than that, I am going to utilize the great knowledge given to me by the Tarot to make positive changes in MY life. I am going to have the courage to do the uncomfortable work of changing. I am going to show many of you that there is life beyond the comfortable confines of the lower life-states to which we have bound ourselves. Strike that, I am going to show that to my self. Because it starts with me.
If you ever want to help anyone, you have to help your self first. You have to clean your own house before you tackle someone else's closets. So, watch-out! I'm about to roll up my sleeves and do some serious work. Get ready.
Every month, The Ghost Hunters Shop in Lexington, KY holds the Mystical Paranormal Fair. It is a place for you to come and experience nearly every aspect of the Mystical and Paranormal world. This past weekend, I participated in my first! You wouldn't believe how successful a venture it was!!! I had such an amazing time, that I just have to BLOG about it.
To be clear, I have been to the Fair many times. However, this was the FIRST time I have ever been a featured "Master" at the Fair. It was a remarkable experience.
It started Saturday morning, bright and early. Hubby and I loaded up the car and drove over to the Fair, slightly nervous and very hopeful. We were greeted by the fabulous Patti Starr, creator of this amazing event. She gave us a heart-felt hug and led us to my booth, booth 14. We unloaded our tables, new chairs, cards, candles and all other Ken Boggle paraphernalia. After a brief moment of assembly, sweat, and additional nervousness, we were finished. It looked FLAWLESS.
My morning started off slowly. Which, in the end, really worked to my advantage. I got to go around and visit with the other skilled Masters and share in the comradery. Each one of the Masters made me feel very welcome and very loved. Clearly, there was no need for all of my intial nervousness. And, I even had time to swap some services with some great peeps!
I began with Valerie Freeman, you remember her, I met her at Scarefest 2015; I'm sure I told you about her, she is amazing. She asked me what it is that I would like help with and I explained that I have long-suffered from a "heaviness." She sat me down in her lovely room and began to asses my energy. Immediately, she felt the heft and gravity of what I have been carrying. Lovingly and slowly, she began to move the energy throughout my body. She said, "I am going to have to open your wings." I wasn't sure what this meant, but something inside my spirit screamed, "YES to THAT!" There, the struggle began. The blockage was so thick , she could barely move through it. But once she did, I felt a wonderful release and began to shed several tears. I left that room ready for the rest of my weekend and much lighter than I have felt in ages.
After Valerie cleared out my dark energy, I felt more willing to experience what the other Masters do. So, I met up with Malisa Anne Kyle, you will be able to locate her and everyone mentioned in this blog on my Facebook. Malisa is a talented and unique soul. She is another Spirit Animal of mine. I sat down in front of her, in her subtly lit room and she asked if I had questions. Of course I did and of course they were about my career. She shuffled her deck of cards and began her reading. Almost instantly, she picked up on my energy and explained the cards in-front of her. What came up? I'll never tell, but I am certain she saved me from making a huge mistake. For that, I will always be grateful.
Once we finished, I went back to my booth, where 2 women were waiting for me. I invited them in and they sat down to their first Tarot Dates. I explained what it is that I do and began shuffling the cards. The information that I shared was accurate, helpful, and truly appreciated. When I was finished, she dropped my fee into my glass vase and even left a tip. When she rose from her seat, we hugged it out, and my weekend REALLY took off!!!
After that first client, my chair stayed full. It was either full of VERY generous clients, friends, or other Masters... like my amazing new friend Tabitha Dial! She is a Tea Leaf and Tarot Reader; not to mention, sweet as candy! I even had a chance to chat with Patti's right-hand gal, Layla Cook!!! On top of that, I got to meet the Spirit Mechanix! Stephen, Evan, Tiffany, Holly, and Brian, took me into their booth and showed me their AMAZING stones for sale. I purchased one of every stone they had! Then, Stephen came over to my booth and aligned them for me. He made a perfect grid of protection for myself and for my clients. It was wonderful.
Sadly, there is no way I could possibly share EVERY single experience from this weekend in one BLOG. So, I will leave you with this... Never have I felt so loved by "complete strangers." Never have I felt so accepted. This is my tribe. These are my people. And for that, the Mystical Paranormal Fair has become my new home.
Recently, a very thought-provoking question was asked of me... "Ken, what is your goal... [for your career]? I have to tell you, the question shook me a little and I'd like to BLOG about why.
I am a very organized and well planned person. Instead of leaving things to chance, I like to have several plans in place. Do I have goals? Of course! I have too many and that is my problem. I have a hard time putting all of my goals into a clear and concise statements and plans. So, I'd like to try.
My goal is to become a house-hold name for Tarot. If someone is talking Tarot, I want to be a part of that conversation. There have been so many Psychic/Medium Mega-Stars, but never a Tarot Guru. That Guru should be me! Or, at least, that is my goal.
Also, I want to become a name in the Paranormal Industry. Wouldn't you love to go to a KenBoggle hosted event?! Imagine a Dustin Pari, KJ McCormick, and John E.L. Tenney event, hosted by KenBoggle! How amazing would that be? Could the world withstand all that greatness in one place? I'd like to think so. Maybe I could give lectures on my experiences with the Tarot and even share Tales of a Tarot Card Reader?!
And while all of these are great goals and ideas... My ultimate priority is to bring my clients to their Ultimate Happiness. So, I want to further expand my reach to provide many more people with Tarot Dates!!! Those of you who have had them will agree, the entire worlds needs some Tarot Date love. And I'd like to continue providing that love on a much larger scale.
How will all of this happen? How can I make all of this come true? My only answer is your support and tons of hard work. Good thing for me, I love both of those things. And can I just say, it feels good to have written my goals down on paper. I highly suggest you do it!!! As we all know, visualization is the spark of manifestation.
